Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
Breakfast.
07:00 hrs.-: We will visit the esplanade of the Pyramids , the most famous of which are those of the pharaohs Cheops, Kephren and Mykerinos (entrance to the interior of the pyramids not included), as well as the enigmatic Sphinx. Afterwards we will visit the Papyrus Institute for about 30 minutes, where we will see how the papyrus is handmade.
11:30 hrs.-: Visit the Coptic Quarter , which is nowadays one of the meeting places of the Egyptians and one of the oldest areas of the city. Visit the Hanging Church.
12:30 hrs.-: Visit the Citadel, built by order of Saladin in 1176 and completed in 1182. From 1218 until the 19th century it was the official seat of the Egyptian government. The history of this area is full of palace intrigues, assassinations, overthrows and massacres such as that of the Mamluks in 1811. Representative buildings include the Muhammad Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque , built on the model of Istanbul´s Hagia Sophia.
13.45 hrs.-: Lunch included in a local restaurant.
15:00 hrs.-: Visit the Egyptian Museum , which is about 10 km from the Pyramids and contains one of the most important and impressive archaeological exhibits in the world. The jewel of this exhibition is the treasure of Tutankhamun which occupies the entire upper floor. Remember that it takes at least a week to visit it in its entirety.
17:00 hrs-: Departure from the Egyptian Museum and return to the hotel.
18:00 hrs.-: Arrival at the hotel and accommodation.
Por la noche, se puede caminar por la ciudad fundada en el siglo XIII y habitada hasta 1926, cuando tres días de tormentas dañaron críticamente los edificios de su interior. La principal atracción es la espectacular Fortaleza de Shali y las tiendas que la rodean con sus artesanillas únicas, hechas principalmente de sal y muchos colores. Desde la fortaleza se puede ver casi toda la ciudad. Regreso al hotel. Acomodación.
Por la tarde nos adentramos al GRAN MAR DE ARENA , una zona desértica del Sahara de 72.000 kilómetros cuadrados que cuenta con el tercer campo de dunas más grande del mundo y del que Siwa actúa como entrada norte. ¡En un coche 4X4 , empezaremos nuestra gran aventura! Nuestro experto conductor nos llevara por un emocionante paseo por el desierto de los sueños. Pararemos en un pequeño lago de agua fría , donde podremos ver peces. Los que quieren, pueden refrescarse ahí y relajar un rato. Seguiremos con nuestra aventura, subiendo y bajando por las dunas hasta un manantial de agua caliente , con propiedades terapéuticas. Disfrutaremos de un baño ahí también. En el lugar hay jaimas para cambiar de ropa y baño. Nuestro guía bereber nos llevara para hacer sandboard y nos va a preparar tés típicos del desierto en una hoguera , mientras asistimos la mágica puesta del sol dentro del famoso desierto del Sahara. ¡Una imagen que seguramente se quedara en nuestra memoria para siempre! En coche, seguiremos para el campamento para tener nuestra deliciosa cena típica bereber. Los beduinos cocinan la comida en containers bajo la arena del desierto. Regreso al hotel y alojamiento.
Around 06.00 AM. Visit of the Temple of Edfu. The temple is one km from the boat. The transfer from the boat to Edfu Temple is done by rickshaw. It takes about 15 minutes each way and an hour and a half at the temple. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus and is the best preserved temple in Egypt and the second largest in the country. After the visit, return to the boat.
Navigation to Luxor, crossing the Esna lock. Luxor is 120 km from Edfu.
It takes 4 hours to reach the Esna lock; we will wait for our turn to cross and sail another 4 hours to reach Luxor.
Note: If we arrive at Luxor in daylight, we leave to visit the two temples of Karnak and Luxor . But if you arrive late, you will visit only Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple the next day after the visits to the Valley of the Kings, Deir el Bahari, Madinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.
If you arrive very late you will visit the two temples of Luxor and Karnak the next day, also after the visits of the Valley of the Kings, Deir el Bahari, Madinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.
No exact time can be given. Visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor which constitute the most important monumental complex in Egypt, built over two thousand years. The temples are about 3 km from the boat and the visit lasts 3 hours. Overnight on board.
Luggage will be deposited on the boat and collected before departure to the airport. Check out from the ship before 06:00 AM.
Departure of the boat at 06:00 hrs. We will visit the Necropolis of Thebes , including the famous Valley of the Kings which is 18 Kilometers from the ship. Arrival at the Valley of the Kings around 06:45 hrs. The visit ends around 08:30 hrs. We will travel 4 kilometres and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir Al Bahari, transfer by bus and in 10 minutes arrival at Deir Bahari, the duration of the visit is one hour, after a 10 minute bus transfer, we will arrive at the temple of Medinet Habu located about 4 kilometres from the temple of Hatshepsut we will visit it in about an hour. Return to the boat, short stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon. After the visit, return to the boat until the time of transfer to the airport to take the flight Luxor - Cairo (included).
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. The airport is 4 kilometres from the ship.
Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cairo and accommodation.
Lunch on the last day of the cruise is not included.
Departure from the hotel at 18:30 hrs. We will visit the Pyramids Sound and Light show at about 19:00 hrs. The show itself lasts one hour. Return to the hotel around 20:30. Overnight stay.
Note: Depending on the days of operation of the show, this may be done on day 2 instead of day 6 of the trip.
