Introduction
Dear Traveler: thank you for choosing us to perform this Tour! We hope you enjoy your trip.
Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
18:45 hrs. - Rome. As an immersion into the city, we include upon arrival a transfer to Trastévere , a lively neighborhood known for its typical small restaurants.
21:00 hrs. - Return to the hotel.
IMPORTANT: -Remember that hotels check-in time is usually at 14:00 hrs. If you require more hours of room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip.
- IF YOU REQUESTED ADDITIONAL NIGHTS upon arrival at the hotel, you would have your room booked, but your trip guide would normally contact you at the beginning of the included activities. At the reception you can also find an informative sign, indicating the telephone number and hours of assistance of our staff. YOUR TIME THEREFORE BEFORE THIS MOMENT IS FREE. The hotel staff can help you with all the information you need.
-OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: During your trip, it´s likely that your guide will offer you optional activities. If these activities are available in the Europamundo app or through your "My Trip" link, we strongly recommend that, if interested, you book them well in advance to ensure availability. Waiting until the last minute often means missing out on the opportunity to participate (due to lack of tickets, coach seats, etc).
Note: The schedules that you will find in this itinerary are indicative. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the trip, may adjust the schedules.
The tour will end at Vatican Cityn, an independent state within Rome and the center of the Catholic Church. Our guide will offer an optional activity to explore St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel in greater detail. The afternoon will be free.
Scenery: Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna regions, with views of the Apennine Mountain range.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Rome. After breakfast, we’ll set out for Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, taking in the beautiful landscapes as we cross the Apennine mountains.
01:30 p.m. - Bologna. Arrival in the capital of Emilia-Romagna, a city with a rich history dating back to Roman times and a prominent cultural and culinary center in Italy. You’ll have time to explore its famous covered arcades, stretching along numerous streets and buildings, iconic towers, and main square. Known as the "city of food," Bologna is the birthplace of classic dishes like tagliatelle al ragù (Bolognese sauce) and lasagna. The city is also famous for its cold cuts, cheeses, and delicious Italian gelato. Enjoy some time for a walk and lunch.
04:30 p.m. – Departure from Bologna. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey.
05:30 p.m. - Ferrara. We’ll stop to visit this charming city, surrounded by 9 km of ancient walls. Its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features a grand medieval castle, the Cathedral of Saint George, and stunning Renaissance palaces.
07:00 p.m. – Departure from Ferrara.
08:15 p.m. - Venice. Arrival in the evening. Accommodation in Mestre or a nearby area.
06:30 p.m. - We’ll transfer back to the hotel from the St. Mark´s area. You’ll have the opportunity to have dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose from a variety of restaurants, including Indian, Oriental, Italian, and more.
Scenery: Spectacular alpine landscapes, mountains and lakes. Be sure to bring your camera!
Note: Please keep your passport handy, as it may be required when crossing into Italy.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Zurich - We´ll leave early in the morning, crossing the Alps to reach the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland.
10:45 a.m. – Bellinzona. We’ll arrive in this town, famous for its three medieval castles, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These castles, with their walls, towers, and gates overlooking the city from the hills, are prime examples of medieval military architecture, showcasing their historical significance as alpine strongholds. You’ll have free time to stroll through the picturesque narrow streets of the old town.
12:00 p.m. – Departure from Bellinzona.
01:15 p.m. - Como - Arrival in this city, considered a jewel of Lombardy, known for its beautiful lakeside gardens promenade and stunning cathedral. Enjoy some time to stroll around and take in the sights.
03:15 p.m. – Departure from Como.
04:15 p.m. - Milan - Our guide will lead us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo, where you’ll have some time for a walk. Transfer to the hotel will be at 8:00 p.m.
Scenery: Mediterranean coast.
08:30 a.m. - After breakfast, we’ll depart from Milan and head towards the Liguria region, where we’ll enjoy magnificent landscapes.
10:45 a.m. - Genoa. Arrival in this historic city, with roots dating back to Roman times. In the medieval period, Genoa was a powerful maritime state. You’ll have time to explore the beautiful historic center, where the Romanesque cathedral and Piazza De Ferrari are standout sights.
01:00 p.m. – Departure from Genoa. We’ll continue our journey through picturesque coastal landscapes as we make our way to Tuscany.
03:15 p.m. - Pisa. Time to explore the city’s artistic complex, including the iconic Leaning Tower. Our guide will take you through this monumental site. Due to local regulations, our bus must park in a designated area about a kilometer from the site. You can reach the site on foot or by city bus. Be sure to remember the bus number for your return. Our guide will inform you.
04:45 p.m. – Departure from Pisa.
06:15 p.m. - Florence. Evening arrival in the capital of Tuscany. We’ll make a stop at the Michelangelo viewpoint, offering one of the most breathtaking views of the city.
Note: The departure time from Genoa may be adjusted occasionally, either to leave earlier for more time in Florence or later for extra time in Genoa.
Scenery: Pleasant landscapes, historical towns along the route.
09.00 hrs. - Florence - In the morning with a local guide we include a city tour of Florence , the capital of Tuscany, one of the most visited cities in the country, considered the cradle of the Renaissance and some of the most influential artists and thinkers in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli or Raphael. Highlights include the Gothic cathedral (duomo), the ancient Stone Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) with its goldsmiths´ shops and the Signoria square - the political heart of the city with the town hall in a medieval building. Approximately the city tour will last 2 hours. Time to walk and have lunch afterwards.
15:00 hrs. - Florence, departure. We continue through pleasant landscapes.
18:45 hrs. - Rome , arrival.
Note: Please be aware that the hotel check-out time is usually 10:00 a.m. You can leave your luggage in reception upon check-out, allowing you to explore the city without carrying your bags. You can retrieve your luggage at your convenience later in the day. If you require additional time to use your room, we recommend booking an extra night at the end of your tour.
