Note: The schedules provided in this itinerary are indicative. The guide may adjust them as needed to enhance the trip experience.
Note: If the number of travelers from Warsaw to Toruń is very small, the journey may be made by train (we would provide transfers to the station, train tickets, and transfers in Toruń to join the rest of the group). In this case, the visit to Lodz would be replaced with a visit to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw before boarding the train.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Warsaw, heading west.
10:15 a.m. – Lodz. We’ll arrive in Poland’s third-largest city, a major 19th-century industrial hub that fell into decline after the war and the socialist era but has since transformed into a city with a rich industrial heritage. We’ll visit the museum dedicated to the Jewish ghetto, the second largest during World War II, as well as its small train station (tickets included). After, you’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch at Manufaktura, a vast shopping and entertainment complex housed in a former textile factory.
01:00 p.m. – Departure from Lodz.
03:30 p.m. – Toruń. We’ll visit the Gothic walled city of Toruń, with its magnificent historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Toruń is also famous as the birthplace of Copernicus, the Renaissance genius who developed the heliocentric theory, which states that the Sun, not the Earth, is at the center of the solar system. If you wish, you can visit his museum and birthplace.
05:30 p.m. – Departure from Toruń.
07:45 p.m. – Gdansk. Arrival in the historic city of Danzig. Its old town is charming, full of life and activity. We recommend taking an evening stroll to enjoy its vibrant atmosphere.
Scenery: Vast plains and agricultural regions.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Gdansk.
09:00 a.m. – Arrival in Malbork, where we’ll visit its impressive castle (tickets included for the green route), one of the largest medieval castles in Europe, built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order and designated as a World Heritage Site.
11:00 a.m. – Departure from Malbork. We’ll head toward the northeastern coast of Poland.
12:15 p.m. – Arrival in Frombork, a peaceful village with an impressive walled complex, where Nicolaus Copernicus is buried. You’ll have time to stroll around and enjoy lunch.
02:30 p.m. – Departure from Frombork.
03:30 p.m. – We’ll visit Elblag Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland and a 19th-century industrial gem. We’ll tour the museum dedicated to this engineering marvel, which pulls boats over land on rails to overcome elevation changes.
04:30 p.m. – Departure from Elbląg.
08:30 p.m. – Arrival in Warsaw, Poland’s capital, by the end of the day.
You’ll have free time in the afternoon to visit museums, such as the National Museum and the Warsaw Rising Museum, or to explore the lively city center filled with shops and activities.
